The Body Image Network launched its pilot toolkit this morning at Macdonald Drive Elementary School on Macdonald Drive in St. John's to teachers and Grade 2 students.
The toolkit compliments grades 2 and 4 curriculums and includes resource materials geared toward promoting positive body image and self-esteem.
This initiative began after research showed that body issues were important with young children and the toolkit offers teachers a way to help their students deal with body image issues.
