Anna Henley has arrived in Ottawa for the Canwest Canspell National Spelling Bee.
Anna is The Telegram's Canwest Canspell Regional Spelling Bee winner. Anna won the Newfoundland and Labrador event on March 6 after correctly outspelling her competitors with the word "debutante."
The 13-year-old St. Bonaventure's College student beat out 48 competitors from across the province, won a $5,000 Canspell education award, and went on to compete at the national spelling bee in Ottawa.
