You may want to check the price of oil against those numbers, thats where the money comes from, not from the idiots in power. I can't quite hear you Calvin, your voice sounds muffled like your head is stuck somewhere.

Wow, I guess the numbers speak for themselves. The only year the Williams government has had a defecit was one they calculated, during a global recession, and it didnt even end up being as big as they calculated. I dont care what poor decisions the man has made or how childish people think he is, this premier and his government get results. Unlike most of the naysayers, they have a vision for the future, which is to make Newfoundland & Labrador a financially stable and economically competetive province, and they are pulling off the work to make it happen. here's to another term Danny, dont let the haters get you down. GO DANNY GO!!

$194 million deficit is great in this economy.
The Williams government has done more, and continues to do more, for this province than any other govt. by leaps and bounds... if you don't like him thats your problem but the facts don't lie.

    Other provinces 2010-11 projections:
    Quebec projects $4.5 billion
    Ontario $19.7 billion
    New Brunswick $749 million
Nova Scotia $716 million up to $1.3 billion by 2012-13

Newfoundlanders just like to complains - even in good times?

Writes, you like all other Danny haters approach any supporters as idiots and start personal attacks to get your point across. I have no doubt in my mind that if someone else had been in power when the Hebron deal was being made that we would have gotten reamed on the deal. Everyone cried when Danny turned down the big oil company, saying he was making a mistake. Fortunately for us the man is not the idiot you all make him out to be, and he knew that Hebron would not leave the oil in the ground, and that if they really wanted it a deal would get done to benefit the province. And look what happened, the FAIR deal got done, and Newfoundland is better off for it. The Liberal's would have taken the first deal offered and called it a victory for Newfoundland and Labrador, and we would be out millions and millions of dollars. The only ground work laid by previous governments was to make Newfoundland & Labrador look like a bunch of whiny snivelling fools, and despite that Danny and his government have been able to give this province what little we have. It WOULD HAVE BEEN LESS under another government. But yes, let's do what the haters say and look at the difference in the calculated defecit and actual defecit. Hmmmmmm, they calculated a 6.1 million dollar surplus in 06-07 and actually ended up with a 154 million dollar surplus. GRAB YOUR TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS, THEY SHOULD BE SHOT FOR GETTING THE PROVINCE MORE MONEY!!!!!! Oh, and in look, in 09-10 they calulated a 750 million dollar defecit, in a year where every country in the world was supposed to lose money (dont really know how that happens, but anyway) and they actually only lost 295 million. I can see where your outrage is coming from, the books are almost balanced every year and who needs that?

Calvin from Newfoundland you're reading the chart incorrectly.

Danny didn't pee out the oil from that golden rod of his the cult worshippers like to pray to. There could have been a monkey at the helm, that money was set to roll in anyways because all the footwork was done by previous governments. (You don't actually think you can magically find and then extract oil on the same day do you ? Sadly, you probably do, people drinking that Blue Kool-Aid are often found in slumped over stupors. Has NALCOR found any oil yet ? There you go, no magic wand.) Silly me, I got sucked in, you were trolling today weren't you Calvin ? I know you didn't actually believe the things you said. You do remember when oil was found don't you Calvin ? It was 31 years ago. I mean, I hope you aren't 12 years old, you do realize Danny wasn't always here like some sort of king or dictator or something.

The way you should be reading that chart is looking at the size of the difference between the budgeted and actual values. THAT will tell you how good this government is at getting a grip on what is going on in this province. It would seem Danny's government isn't very good at accounting whatsoever. Even when the oil started flooding out, Danny was unable to estimate the number of gallons he would be awash in, thanks to PrEvIoUs governments. A monkey could have produced a more accurate budget than that ! Haha ! Now with all this oil revenue, Danny is driving us into the RED. Unbelievable ! I wonder how far off he'll be on the deficit side in the next few years. Nice job there Danny old boy. Learn to count. I hear that even monkeys can learn to count.

I do agree with one thing you said though Calvin... please Danny GO, PLEASE GO.
