MV Apollo to return to service

The MV Apollo is scheduled to return to service across the Strait of Belle Isle, between Blanc Sablon and St. Barbe, Wednesday.
The vessel will depart from Blanc Sablon at 10:30 a.m. and from St. Barbe at 1 p.m.
The MV Sir Robert Bond will depart Blanc Sablon, en route to Corner Brook, Wednesday at 7 a.m. Once the vessel has offloaded passengers and vehicles in Corner Brook, it will be removed from service to undergo its annual refit.

    Why is it that the ferry link between Labrador and the Island of Newfoundland and Labrador has to go through Quebec? Shoudn't the link be with-in our own provincial jurisdiction or do we need Quebec for that infrastructure support as well?

    The MV Apollo would make a fine boat anchor. I can't believe the government is still risking people's lives on this rust bucket.

    Blanc Sablon is about a 5 min drive to the Labrador Border. Also it has to do with the tides in lab straits.
