Roadside checkpoints to help raise road safety awareness

Members of the RCMP Trinity Conception District, the Department of Highways, and Municipal Enforcement of the Town of Bay Roberts will be conducting checkpoints throughout the Trinity Conception District area today to ensure road safety.
The checkpoints are to ensure people are abiding by the rules and regulations and safety precautions on local roadways, and to remind people to drive safely based on road and weather conditions as well as the proper use of seatbelts and child restraint systems.
