RNC investigating pharmacy breakin, theft of prescription narcotics

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is requesting the assistance of the general public in providing information regarding a break and enter at a St. John's pharmacy.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, unknown suspects entered Theatre Pharmacy at 78 Queen's Rd., St. John's and obtained a quantity of prescription narcotics including Morphine, Ritalin, Oxycodene and Codene. The street value of these drugs is estimated at $8,000.
The RNC is concerned about the quantity and types of prescription drugs stolen and consider their potential availability on the street to be a public safety concern.
