Minister joins communities to celebrate volunteer week

Volunteers across Newfoundland and Labrador will be in the spotlight during National Volunteer Week, which will be celebrated next week.
Dave Denine, Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will attend recognition events across the province to thank volunteers for their hard work and dedication to their communities.
According to a news release, there are 197,000 volunteers provincially who contribute 35 million hours of valuable unpaid time to their communities every year. Through their commitment and tireless efforts, volunteers and non-profit organizations make this province strong and vibrant.
