Bay Roberts rating . . . it depends on how one reads it. It might be read as being in position #179 of the best places to live in Canada. That's not a bad rating considering how many thousands of cities/towns/communities remain to be rated below it.

it's a totally valid survey.
5400 people want to live in Bay Roberts, 6 billion people don't.
I compare by counting the number of people who live in the various cities.
I just don't necessarily like what they like. -

Rankings of cities, etc., is a bit like horoscopes -- just a fun pastime, having little to do with reality. For example, I just read that Bay Roberts, Nfld., is rated the absolute worst city in Canada, #179.
One can only wonder what residents of this Conception Bay community have to say about being in last-place. -

Bay Roberts is NOT a city. It is a town of about 5400 people. The person doing the survey was comparing a town of 5400 people to Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Montreal, or St. John's. That gives some indication of the validity of the survey.

I don't agree with Bay Roberts being a bad place to live.... although there may have been times we were rivals!! It was unfortunately rated the worst place to live in all the towns of that size in Canada ( a fact I would still dispute). Bay Roberts is not in that dire straights, as the editor may have you believe, but God help Hr. Grace if they decided to include it.
