On Nov. 9, 2010, the memoirs of the 43rd President of the United States, titled "Decision Points," will go on sale. While the standard copies are set to sell for $35, a copy of the limited, deluxe edition can be yours - for $412 (CDN).
Every copy of the limited, deluxe edition of "Decision Points" will be hand signed by the former President, according to information provided by the publisher. The hardcover books will also "be printed on high-quality, acid-free paper and bound in a full cloth case with foil stamping. In addition, the book will have a ribbon marker and a special color photo frontispiece not found in the regular hardcover edition of Decision Points. Each book is individually hand numbered, packed into slipcases, and shrinkwrapped."
The biography is to run 400 pages, according to the current listing.
"In gripping, never-before-heard detail, President Bush brings readers inside the Texas Governor's Mansion on the night of the hotly contested 2000 election; aboard Air Force One on 9/11, in the hours after America's most devastating attack since Pearl Harbor; at the head of the table in the Situation Room in the moments before launching the war in Iraq; and behind the Oval Office desk for his historic and controversial decisions on the financial crisis, Hurricane Katrina, Afghanistan, Iran, and other issues that have shaped the first decade of the 21st century.

As of Wednesday, Amazon.ca was offering the title at a discounted rate of $258.32 (CDN) while Chapters.indigo.ca was offering the title at $271.92, or $258.32 for iRewards members.

I assume the book contains lots of pictures and was written for Junior Bush, aka The Decider, by someone who is literate. Does it contain the picture of Bush supposedly reading a childrens' book to a class of school children, but holding the book upside down ? How about the picture of him supposedly looking through a pair of high power binoculars with the lens caps on ? This is the same guy who said ' I'll be long gone before some smart guy ever figures out what went on in this Oval Office '.
The Texan wannabe from Connecticut should be paying people to read his memoirs. -

If it is frank and honest enough, I will read it in a heartbeat. I'm not a fan of his in any stretch, but only 44 men have ever held that office so I'm still curious to hear him retell his 8 years, even if the book is written in crayon.
