Mike Butler is being recognized as one of the best physical education teachers in Canada.
Butler teaches at Frank Roberts Junior High in C.B.S.
"Prior to his arrival in 2008, students routinely came unprepared for gym class, and participation rates were low," said Frank Roberts principal, Gail Butler. "Since Mr. Butler has been part of our school community, he has had a profound impact upon my student body, the staff and the school community as a whole."
Physical Health and Education Canada selects one teacher from each province to be recognized each year based on nominations from across the country.
The organization chooses teachers who serve as positive role models for personal health, sportsmanship and encouraging enjoyment in the activity.

Way to go Mike! Physical Eductors in NL continue to be recognized as the best in the country, and you are a prime example. Way to keep the streak going.

GOOD JOB, PAL! Anyone (especially a teacher these days) who helps kids become better, both physically and mentally, is a great dude in my book! Keep it up, and hopefully more teachers will put as much effort as this person does into our youth! Kids are basically GOOD, some just ned a little help getting on track.
