A couple and their two sons, ages 18 and 19, are temporarily homeless after a fire Thursday night extensively damaged their house in the community of Adams Cove, about 25 kilometres northeast of Carbonear.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers met with the family today and provided some personal-care items and made arrangements for emergency purchases of clothing and food.
The family is staying with relatives for now.
No one was home at the time of the fire so there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
