Premier announces senior appointments

Premier Danny Williams announced senior appointments that are effective Monday.
Dr. Cathi Bradbury has been appointed associate deputy minister, Department of Health and Community Services. She has been medical consultant with the department since October 2008.
Genevieve (Gig) Dooling has been appointed assistant deputy minister (Corporate Services), in an acting capacity, with the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services. Dooling served most recently as senior director, Executive Support, Department of Business.
David Lewis has been appointed assistant deputy minister (Policy and Planning) with the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. He served most recently with the department as assistant deputy minister of the Fisheries Branch.
Peter Howe has been appointed assistant deputy minister (Lands) with the Department of Environment and Conservation. Howe has been Director of Crown Lands Administration with the department since 2006.
Williams also confirmed the appointment of Roxie Wheaton to the status of assistant deputy minister, Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, with responsibility for the department's regional operations. Wheaton had been serving in that role in an acting capacity since August 2007.
"Having knowledgeable, experienced individuals with strong leadership skills and abilities in senior executive positions is vital to the advancement of public policy and programs," Williams in a news release. "I wish each appointee well and look forward to their contributions in their new roles."
