There were no survivors when searchers found a Piper twin-engine plane that has been missing in Southern Labrador since Wednesday.
A Cormorant search and rescue helicopter found the plane Friday night around 10:40 p.m.
The plane, operated by North Wind Aviation, had been flying from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Cartwright.
"They had clearing in the weather patterns, and they used spotlights, and they were able to spot it," said Jeri Grychowski, spokeswomen for the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax. "Our people are pretty good at doing what they do."
She said the searchers had a fairly good idea where they would find the aircraft; it was found 1.2 nautical miles from its last known location.
For much of the week the search was hampered by bad weather conditions.
There were two people on board the airplane when it crashed.
One man is from Cupids, working as a maintenance person; he was travelling to Labrador to activate one of Quinn-Sea Fisheries' seafood plants. No names have been released pending notification of next of kin.
