Many Roman Catholic churches across Prince Edward Island are about to see a new face at the front of the altar.

Bishop Richard Grecco announced a series of changes at Island parishes Monday.
As first reported in The Guardian on Monday, Rev. Gerard Chaisson, presently pastor at Immaculate Conception Parish in Wellington and administrator of St. Patrick's Parish in Grand River, has been appointed pastor of St. Malachy's Parish in Kinkora and administrator of St. Peter's Parish in Seven Mile Bay.
That is effective June 17.

Chaisson has the task of replacing Rev. George Smith, who was suspended from his duties there May 16 following an allegation of abuse in Deer Lake, N.L., more than 20 years ago.
