Woman struck by car on city crosswalk

A 23-year-old woman was taken to hospital Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle on the crosswalk at Elizabeth Avenue and Churchill Square in St. John's.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the woman suffered a head injury but was in stable condition at the Health Sciences Centre.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.
