- On Sunday, June 20, the Johnson Geo Centre will celebrate Father's Day with a slate demonstration and workshop by Hurley Slateworks from 1 to 4 p.m. From the slate quarries of Newfoundland to the rooftops and walls of buildings in Europe, Australia and the United States, learn how slate tiles are made and installed.
