Prankster student lands himself in trouble on final school assembly

Placentia/Whitbourne RCMP were called to the local regional high school this morning in Blaketown where a student pulled the fire alarm during the final assembly.
The 19-year-old male student from Thornlea will be charged with making a false alarm of fire, and with mischief, and will appear in provincial court in St. John's at a later date.
Teachers, parents and students gathered for the final assembly in the school's gym had to be evacuated as per policy and protocol.
