Kellogg recalls cereals due to odour from liner and unusual flavour

Kellogg says it is voluntarily recalling some of its cereals in the U.S. due to an unusual flavour and a smell coming from package liners that the company says could cause nausea and diarrhea.

The company said Friday that it is recalling select packages of Corn Pops, Honey Smacks, Froot Loops and Apple Jacks.

Kellogg says it is voluntarily recalling some of its cereals in the U.S. due to an unusual flavour and a smell coming from package liners that the company says could cause nausea and diarrhea.

The company said Friday that it is recalling select packages of Corn Pops, Honey Smacks, Froot Loops and Apple Jacks.

Kellogg did not say what caused the smell but said the potential for serious health problems is low.

The company says some consumers are sensitive to the smell and should not eat the recalled products.

    No products in Canada are affected according to the press release from the company.
