The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) has negotiated tentative collective agreements with two more home-care agencies, the union stated today.
A-Superior Home Care Service and Placentia Home Care have employees numbering 100 workers.
According to NAPE President Carol Furlong, "this is a total of 11 recently negotiated settlements (10 of which have been reached in the last 10 days) between NAPE and home care agencies, and this is a first collective agreement for Placentia Home Care."
The tentative agreements consist of wage increases, improvements in benefits and contract language. Ratification votes will be held over the coming weeks.
