Power out in some downtown areas of St. Johns

Newfoundland Power crews are currently working to restore power to parts of Water Street, Prescott Street and the Signal Hill area of St. John's.
The power went off about 10:40 a.m. today and is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.
The reason for the outage is being investigated.
