Police in Clarenville are continuing to investigate an ATV accident that killed a Brooklyn man.
Officers were called to the ATV collision on a dirt road in Lethbridge around 8:15 p.m. It's believed the two ATVs collided head on as they came from opposite directions around the same corner.
A 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after being thrown from the ATV.
The man was a passenger on the ATV. The driver of that ATV was also taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Neither the driver or passenger were wearing helmets.
The driver and passenger of the other ATV were not injured in the collision.
Officers are investigating the accident and say speed and alcohol are probable factors in the cause.
Police are withholding the man's name until family can be notified of his death.

Actually, the Telegram is doing a great service by posting comments. The majority of the public wouldn't be sensitive to this news story because we don't know the people involved. It means nothing to us - just another mishap to ponder.
If you find the topic too sensitive I suggest you not scroll to the comments section.

I happen to be a family member of the deceased and I agree 100% with Brendan. Things like this are none of no one elses buinesses and they should keep their comments to themselves, becuase the fact is that no matter what newpaper articles say, the never show the truth. Not about what happend, playing factors that led up to the his death or the kind of person he was.

Why in Heaven's name would you invite comments so soon on such a tragic accident?? Have you no sensitivity for the families involved here?
