Another wonderful story of our resettled communities which I find very fascinating. Having visited may of these by boat, in Trinity Bay, over the years, it never ceases to amaze me how these people up and left their homes, many of them, just as they lived. I am very curious as to how to pronounce Little Brehat...would it be Little Britt ?

Congratulations to the writer of this piece for the Northern Pen. I just love to read of return visits by former residents of these wonderful little communities. It's an absolute shame that they had to be resettled. The memories of times gone by and lifestyle in these communities are indeed treasures to behold. Back in the 60's I had the distinct pleasure to visit many of the now abandoned small communities in Placentia Bay. I'll never forget the uniqueness of the places and the people I found there. My one regret is that I never got to visit Harbour Deep before it was resettled. I would love to read a similar document from there as well. God bless the writers who produce these pieces. If there are websites that I might visit for similar stories I would love to hear from anyone who could direct me. Drop a note to... surfer@eastlinl.ca It will be much appreciated.
