Fusing a modern hard-rock edge with a vintage blues core, Beauwater creates an uncompromising, yet catchy, sound that refuses to be forgotten. Based out of St. John’s, the group (Jonathon Reid: guitar/vocals, Curtis Harding: keys/bass/vocals, Greg Newhook: bass/guitar/vocals and Michael Maddox: drums/vocals) has strived to deliver a top-notch performance both onstage and in the studio since their formation in 2008. Bringing with them a plethora of original material ranging from the groovy to the eerie, they incorporate the influence of decades of blues and rock into a cutting-edge sound that holds its own amongst today’s popular music. In March 2011, they released their debut full-length album, “Movin’ On,” which has gone on to earn them much praise and exposure, and frequent play on several local radio stations. They are currently directing their focus on writing, taking a hiatus from performance while preparing new music for their second album.
