The lineup for this year's Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival has been announced, with The Once at the top of the list.
Joining the trio in Bannerman Park will be Ameila Curran, The Dardanelles, and Andrew James O'Brien among others for the Aug. 3-5 festival.
James Keelaghan, The Idlers, Vishten, Danette Eddy, and A Crowd of Bold Sharemen have also been announced along with Jenny Gear with Sandy Morris and Billy Sutton.
Folk festival president Anita Best said this year's festival will be one to remember.
"We are back in Bannerman Park with full colours flying and a fantastic lineup of Newfoundland and Labrador performers and crafters who are all ready for a great party," she said.
Mount Pearl singer-songwriter Andrew James O'Brien, who recently sold out a two-night appearance at LSPU hall filming for CBC, is a strong performer. His album, "Songs for Searchers," is available at local record stores.
The Once, a three-piece featuring the strong vocals of singer Geraldine Hollett, are also a band whose live show has met with critical acclaim.
This is the 36th year for the folk festival, which last year was largely rained out, forcing the festival to move indoors to Mile One Centre.
Organizers say they have many more confirmed artists to announce in the coming weeks.
