Black Label Society will be playing Mile One Centre in St. John’s on Oct. 16 with special guests Protest The Hero and Self Destruct.

Black Label Society is former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde’s current band, formed in 1998.

In May, 2011 they released The Song Remains Not the Same, a compilation of acoustic versions of songs originally released on the band's eighth studio release, 2010’s release Order of the Black.

More information on the band is available on their website.

Tickets for the show go on sale June 22, and are $49.50.

The half-venue set-up will be in effect, and floor tickets are standing, not seated.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the all ages show.

This is a corrected version.

Well it's about time! Finally, not only does an ACTUAL metal band come to Mile One... but it's BLACK LABEL SOCIETY! Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about not having a hundred bucks to dish out for Tom Petty. A big thanks to Nick and JD for taking the time to listen to the newfies at the last Halifax show and come to town for a gig! SDMF, can't wait to see Zakk Wylde LIVE AT MILE ONE!

Thanks Pam. Still, I think $49.50 is still very reasonable.
