Friends, colleagues and bandmates will gather at the Ship Pub Nov. 7 to mark the one year anniversary of the passing of renowned musician and folklorist Peter Narvaez with an evening of blues and performances of Peter’s original songs, “A Tribute to Dr. Peter Narvaez.” Donations will be collected for the Mary A. Griffiths Memorial Bursary for Folklore Field Research. This event is sponsored by Living Planet/Johnny Ruth, Fred’s Records, Rocket Bakery, O Brien’s Music, the Ship Pub and Molson Breweries. Folk Night happens every Wednesday at the Ship Pub at 9 p.m. and the cover is usually $5.
