Catriona Sturton and John Carroll are playing The Ship in St. John’s tonight, then head off to Fogo Island and Port Rexton.
Catriona Sturton has been playing harmonica since she was 16, and says it changed her life. Having toured the country as a member of teen rock group Plumtree and in Japan with The Secret, a garage rock band, she is currently on a tour of tea houses, taverns and tiny shops across the East Coast with Ottawa guitar legend John Carroll.
Carroll is a longtime singer/songwriter who released his most recent album, the acclaimed “Everybody Smokes in Hell” with his band The Epic Proportions, last year.
Sturton and Carroll will play Folk Night at The Ship pub in St. John’s tonight at 9 p.m., before heading out to Phil’s Shed on Fogo Island Friday night and Port Rexton’s Two Whales on Saturday.
