Fluvarium Kids Club — January program every Saturday and Sunday Jan. 4-26 at 1:30 p.m. Winter Wonders Winter is here and the animals that tough it out all winter have to stay warm, safe and find food. Discover how the animals around the Fluvarium find everything they need, even throughout the winter. Fluvarium Kids programs are complimentary with admission.

The Whitbourne Lions Club hosts its monthly Sunday afternoon of fun and fabulous old-time country music Jan. 5 at the Lions Club in Whitbourne. The doors open at 1 p.m. and the excitement starts at 2 p.m. Join the other performers at the open mic or bring your instrument and play along or just tap your feet to that great old country beat. Happy New Year to all of our supporters and performers.

The Outer Battery Neighbourhood Association announces its 2014 calendar. This years' calendar is a collection of unique photographs of the Battery taken by Battery residents. This season, Canadian Blood Services is asking residents of St. John's to be someone's holiday miracle.
