They’ve spent the past couple of months on the road, but Repartee are back in St. John’s this week, and will play at The Rockhouse Friday night.

The St. John’s-based pop-synth band has been touring the mainland, as far west as Ontario, and will perform their first show in their hometown since July, sharing the stage with Halifax’s SoHo Ghetto and local singer/songwriter Emily Locke.
Since forming just four years ago, Repartee has released two EPs and a full-length self-titled album, won five MusicNL awards, and were nominated for the 2013 Rising Star award at the East Coast Music Awards in Halifax. After Friday’s gig at the Rockhouse, the band will head back to Halifax, where members will perform at the Bus Stop Theatre for Halifax Pop Explosion
“We’re really excited to play for our friends and family back home again,” Warren said, adding they’ll be performing some new material they’ve been working on while on the road. “We’ve been looking forward to this show for weeks.”
Tickets for the Rockhouse show are $10 in advance and available at Fred’s Records and The Ship pub, or $12 at the door. Doors open at 10 p.m.
