Book launches, signings, readings and more

Launches

Please join us for the official launch of “Facing the Sea: Lightkeepers and Their Families,” by Harold Chubbs and Wade Kearley on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 7-9 p.m. at the Railway Coastal Museum (495 Water St., St. John’s). The book will be available for purchase. The authors will read at the beginning of the event and then sign copies. There will be light refreshments. Miscellaneous

The Book Arts Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is hosting a Printers’ Fair at the Rocket Room Nov. 17. Admission is free. Artists and craftspeople will sell their wares from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., including books, broadsides, prints, cards, linocuts, etchings, lithographs, and letterpress goods. Exhibitors include: John Andrews, Graham Blair, Caroline Clarke, Janet Davis, Lori Doody, Jud Haynes, Sonia Ho / Alan Ho, Philippa Jones, Christine Koch, Duncan Major, Jennifer Morgan, Running the Goat Books and Broadsides,Krissie Worthman, St. Michael’s Printshop, Walking Bird Press, Urchin Green and Walpurgis Press.
