Arts and Culture Centre

St. John’s

Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Join beloved Canadian tenor, John McDermott, as he delivers holiday cheer and celebrates 20 years of performing. During the show, John will sing holiday favourites as well as songs from his illustrious musical career. As is John’s tradition he will also perform some tasteful Remembrance tributes. The Beaches Heritage Centre

Gower Street United Church

Gower Street

On Dec. 16, The Celtic Fiddlers will perform at Gower Street United Church at 7:30 p.m.. Tickets are $15 and available at the door. The Celtic Fiddlers continue to celebrate 20 years of performance and the recent release of their fifth CD, “Times and Tides.”

Dec. 21 and Dec. 22. It’s Christmas time with The Once. Tickets available at Fred’s Records and O’Brien’s Music.


Holy Heart Theatre

55 Bonaventure Ave.

Peter MacDonald Productions Presents, “Santa’s Place,” a new, original musical review for the whole family Dec. 11-14. Show time is 7:30 p.m. with a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Dec. 14. Tickets $30 and $28.


Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre


Country Jamboree at Carbonear’s Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre on the second Friday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person at the door. Profits are given to a different charity each month. The next show will be held on Friday, Dec. 13.


Regional Arts Centre


The Southern Shore Folk Arts Council will hold its annual Christmas social for members, volunteers of the 2013 Shamrock Festival and senior citizens on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. Free admission, soup and sandwiches, beverages and music by The Reddy’s.
