St. John ‘s — Ron Hynes will perform at the LSPU Hall Friday night in a show that will be part retrospective and part family affair.

Hynes, with his band the Stamp Collection, will perform a selection of his personal favourite songs, as well as duets with performer/writer Des Walsh — who co-wrote two tracks on Hynes’ album “Stealing Genius” — as well as Joel Thomas Hynes, writer/actor and Hynes’ nephew, who recently released a recording of his own music. The pair will play “Dark River,” a song they wrote together, among others.

“Following a string of sold-out concerts this fall, Ron wanted to perform in his favourite venue with a couple of friends that he rarely gets to share the stage with, and we're making it happen,” said friend Ruth Lawrence.

Tickets for the show are $30 and are available at the LSPU Hall box office, by calling 753-4531, or online at www.rca.nf.ca.
