World-renowned author, speaker and alternative medicine guru Deepak Chopra will visit the province this summer, reflecting on these questions and more at an event at the Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay Aug. 2.

Presented by I Am Genie, Chopra — once named by Time magazine as “one of the Top 100 heroes and icons of the century” — will “create a roadmap for higher health,” based on recent findings in mainstream and alternative medicine.

A physician and member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Chopra is the founder of the Chopra Foundation, and is chairman of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in California. He has written more than 75 books, his latest being the New York Times bestseller, “What Are You Hungry For: The Chopra Solution to Permanent Weight Loss, Well-Being and Lightness of the Soul.”

Tickets for Chopra’s “The Future of Wellbeing” event in Torbay range from $49 to $182 (taxes and service charge included), and are on sale now at iamgenie.org or by calling 1-888-905-0070.

Chopra and his kind have run out of steam and are hitting the smaller markets to separate needy people from their money.

I wonder if the Telegram and other local media will accept Chopra's unscientific nonsense, or will they challenge him to present any kind of evidence for his silly assertions? http://quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/chopra.html

Remember Skeptic, the news is presented in an unbiased way. Just because they have an article for you to read, doesn't mean they back the opinions of those in that article. I thought that was common knowledge?
