“I Mother Earth” frontman Brian Byrne has released a new single, with all proceeds going to suicide prevention and awareness in Canada.
Money earned from downloads of “Arizona (I Miss You Most)” will be given to Collateral Damage, a Canadian organization founded by Scott Chisholm, who, at age 17, lost his father to suicide.

“Last year, after we lost another friend, I couldn’t just stand by anymore,” said Byrne, who founded the Old Classy Dogs Collective (OCDC) as a way to use music for social change. “My hope is that we really can change how we talk about suicide, open up and discuss. No one should ever feel ashamed or lonely in this. It’s all hard enough.”

The OCDC has grown to include performers such as Shaun Majumder, George Stroumboulopoulos and Sam Roberts. Previous projects include support for families of children with autism.
