The Cloudberries Community Choir will present its “Gospel Concert” on Sunday, June 1 at 3 p.m. at the Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. Tickets at the door $10 for adults, $6 for children. Tickets are available on a Framed Print By Artist James Hosins.

Country Jamboree at Carbonear’s Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre on the second Friday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person at the door. Profits are given to a different charity each month.

St. George’s Heritage Church


The Travel Group of Holy Heart of Mary Alumnae Choir, directed by Dr. Valerie Long, is performing at St. George’s Church in Brigus at 2 on Sunday, June 1. This is the choir’s last appearance before travelling to Portugal and Spain for a series of concerts.  Admission $10 at the door. All proceeds go to St. George’s Church.

Topsail United Church

Coastal Sounds C.B.S. Community Choir spring concert will take place on Sunday, June 8 at 3 p.m. at Topsail United Church, with special guests the Topsail United Church children’s choir. Admission is $10, Tickets are available from choir members, Andrew (771-7002), Bob (782-0388) or at the door.  Food Donations for the C.B.S. food bank are being welcomed.  Refreshments to follow.

The Landing


A six-week session of swing dance classes conducted by Lindy Hop on the Rock on Tuesdays running until June 10 in The Landing at MUN. Swing dancing is a fun social dance done to upbeat jazz music.
