St. John’s will see four days full of shows starring women who rock when Trixxxiefest happens this weekend.

Presented by Roles4Women Theatre Company, the Black Bag Media Collective and performance punk band Trixxxie — which will make its debut at the event — Trixxxiefest will start with standup comedy and music at Scanlan’s Lounge Thursday night at 9 p.m., featuring Amanda Batten, Colleen Power, Liz Solo and the Sweater Kittens, along with Sam Burke, Danielle Trouble, Erin Simms and Jenny Naish.

Friday night will see a show at Distortion at 11 p.m., featuring The Sauce, The River, Category VI and Trixxxie, while Saturday’s rock show at The Ship at 10:30 p.m. will include Uneeda — currently one of three local bands in the running to play as part of the Vans Warped Tour 2014 — Trixxxie, DT and the Dinosaurs and Allie Duff and the Happy Campers.

On Sunday, there will be a pop-up supper and screening, with details to be announced.

All bar shows are $10 at the door. For more details and performer bios, visit www.roles4
