Two vocal powerhouses with a combined 65 years of musical experience will perform in C.B.S. this weekend.
Theresa Malenfant and Katey Day will play a show at the S.S. Meigle Lounge in Seal Cove Saturday. Cover is $5 at the door.
Malenfant, from Dieppe, N.B., made her singing debut onstage as a 14-year-old, and has duetted with Dutch Mason.
Among her accolades is an East Coast Music Award for Vocalist of the Year — the first one presented to a female artist in New Brunswick.
Day is a singer/songwriter who has opened for Trooper and the Jeff Healey Band, and recently toured her stage play, “Deception: A Rock Opera,” in the Maritimes.
She said she plans to scope out the local scene with the hope of bringing the play to Newfoundland sometime in the new year.
Doors open Saturday at 9 p.m.
