Moncton police aren't ruling out the possibility a missing woman may have chosen to disappear three weeks ago instead of being abducted.
Investigators are appealing to Donna O'Rielly to get in touch with them if she is OK.
They say O'Rielly hasn't broken any law if she simply decided to leave her family.
But O'Rielly's family is rejecting the possibility she ran off. The 54-year-old mother of two, soon-to-be grandmother of four, left the mall where she worked at around 8 p.m. and headed for home, as far as anyone knew. She was dressed casually in a brown, medium-length, suede-like coat and jeans, and she was carrying her purse and her lunch bag - a typical end to a typical work day. The Newfoundland native went missing at the end of Febrary and no one has heard from her since. Anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to contact the RCMP at (506) 857-2400, or if they wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police continue to search for missing Newfoundland native in Moncton

I think if the telegram is so interested, they might want to ask why there was no coverage on CBC, local NB channels/papers or the telegram itself when the woman actually went missing.
It's great than Canada won a lot of gold medals, but it caused very little coverage of this initially. You know, that time where statistically she's most likely to be found... -

To Donny Dooley,
Seems that whenever there is a story you are there to make some stupid comment. Maybe it is time for you to get out a bit and away from your computer. Maybe it is time for you to move on Donny. -

Releasing this information to the public is misleading and frankly, irresponsible on the RCMP's part. They have absolutely NO evidence that Donna ran away. Before she disappeared there were no strange phonecalls made on her phone, no emails to anyone outside of her family and friends, and no money transfers from her bank account. None of her credit cards have been used since she disappeared.
It should also be noted that Donna was seen leaving the Bay with her car keys in hand, suggesting she was heading straight to her car. Saying she left on her own just doesn't add up. -

I agree with the cops that she ran away and doesn't want to be found. You can stop looking now. Time to move on people!
