The lineup for this year's Wreckhouse International Jazz and Blues Festival is beginning to take shape, as names trickle out in the leadup to the announcement of the full list of performers Thursday.
Most recently, 2010 Juno-nominee Alex Cuba was announced as one of this year's guest performers. As well, 2010 Juno award winner Terry Clarke, blues guitarist Matt Anderson, soul singer Kellylee Evans and innovative Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq will be in attendance.
The festival is currently scheduled from July 13-18. More information on the festival is available at
Meanwhile, festival and event producers at Wreckhouse Jazz and Blues are also searching for contributors to the production company's blog.
The group is, in particular, seeking articles on jazz, blues and world music.
Pitches can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
While Wreckhouse does not currently pay authors for blog content, rights for all blog submissions remain with their original authors.
