Remaining events for salmon festival announced

The times and dates for the four main remaining events for the Exploits Valley Salmon Festival were announced today.
Tickets for the salmon dinner, Friday Night stadium dance, and Newfie Night will go on sale Friday.
The salmon dinner will be held Thursday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m.) and tickets cost $30 each with entertainment by Sean, Gerry and Gerry.
The stadium dance to be held Friday, July 16, at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 at the door. Performing will be Hot Rocks, a Rolling Stones tribute band. Also appearing is Freshly Squeezed.
Newfie Night will take place Monday, July 19 starting 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 each. Mill Road and Young at Heart will perform.
For the first time, the town will present Canadian worship band, Starfield, which has spent the last 10 years partnering with churches and ministries, leading students and congregations in passionate and energetic worship. This Gospel concert will take place on Sunday, July 18, as a part of family day at Centennial Field. This is a free concert. Donations will be accepted for Ronald McDonald House.
Tickets for all events may be ordered online at or picked up at various venues in the area:
Salmon dinner tickets available at the recreation department offices on the second floor of the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium, as well as at the town hall.
Friday night dance and Newfie Night tickets available at Brown's Variety, Need's Convenience, Centennial Groceteria, IBEX Fuels, T & K Convenience, Ultramar Pipeline, Grand Falls Drug Store and at D & R Convenience in Bishop's Falls.
