Lt.-Gov. John C. Crosbie and Jane Furneaux Crosbie are inviting the public to the annual Garden Party on Government House Grounds set for Wednesday.
The event will commence with the Viceregal Salute at 3 p.m. Their Honours will then mingle with guests on the grounds.
The Church Lads' Brigade Band, the Signal Hill Tattoo and the Celtic Fiddlers will perform and light refreshments will be served by the Girl Guides.
At 5 p.m., the Ode to Newfoundland, God Save the Queen, and O'Canada will be played to conclude the Garden Party.
"We look forward to greeting residents and visitors to the province," Crosbie said. "Jane and I encourage all who have never visited Government House to come and enjoy the garden, musical entertainment and their fellow citizens"
Guests should enter through the West Gate off Military Road.
There will be ample parking for 500 vehicles arriving after 2 p.m. An area has been designated inside the West Gate for specially equipped vehicles for disabled persons.
The grounds are wheelchair accessible. Bicycles, pets, smoking and alcohol are not permitted on the grounds.
In case of inclement weather on July 21, the garden party will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday.
