Two people died in a four-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway earlier this evening.
RCMP traffic services are at the scene of a four-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of the exit to Adeytown. Two vehicle occupants were fatalities and their names will not be released pending notification of kin. The remaining vehicle occupants are being treated for injuries at the Clarenville hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The TCH has one lane open in each direction as police continue with the scene investigation. RCMP are hoping to have all lanes open soon. They ask motorists to be patient and drive carefully in this area.
