WINNIPEG - New Flyer Industries (TSX:NFI) says a large U.S. customer has announced a delay in its order for 90 Xcelsior articulated buses. As a result, the Winnipeg-based bus manufacturer has lowered its projected 2012 output rate to the equivalent of 34 units per week — down from 36 EUs per week. New Flyer says the customer's delay is due to a state requirement for an independent review of all sole-sourced orders. The company expects to get the go-ahead in early October.
