PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. - Paper is rolling again at a newly restarted mill in Cape Breton.

Port Hawkesbury Paper external affairs manager Marc Dube says the first paper started rolling off the mill's production line early today.

Dube says the company plans to send the paper to customers soon.

He says about 260 people are currently working at the mill in different shifts.

The former NewPage mill reopened last weekend, a year after it was shuttered by its former owners.

The sale of the mill to Vancouver-based Pacific West Commercial Corp. was completed on Friday.
