TORONTO - Results of the annual survey of editors and broadcasters conducted by The Canadian Press to determine Canada's top business newsmakers of the year for 2012:

Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney: 59 per cent

The Canadian in Debt: 17 per cent

Former SNC chief executive Pierre Duhaime: 9 per cent

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty: 8 per cent

Bell chief executive George Cope: 6 per cent
