HALIFAX - A well-known play structure on the Halifax waterfront has been damaged by fire.
Police believe the wooden boat, designed to look like a pirate ship, was deliberately set on fire around 5:15 p.m.
The playground is on the Dartmouth side of the harbour, near the ferry terminal.
Several witnesses reported seeing a group of youths fleeing from the area — four males and one female.
Police quickly found a group fitting the description provided by witnesses — they were questioned and released.
