Bear spray used during Newfoundland robbery at convenience store

TOPSAIL, N.L. - A convenience store clerk was sprayed with bear spray Sunday night during a robbery in Newfoundland.

Police say the woman was assaulted with bear spray during a hold-up at Marie's Mini Mart in the Topsail area around 10:30 p.m.

They say two men obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area.

The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Police are searching for the two suspects.
