Newfoundland and Labrador police issued a warrant after an assault in St. John's

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have issued a warrant for a 30-year-old man after complaints of an assault Saturday night.

Police say they received a call around 8 p.m. of an assault in the Cabot Street area of St. John's.

They issued a warrant following an investigation.

The man is wanted for charges of assault with a weapon and robbery with violence.
