HALIFAX - Nova Scotia police are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times in the Halifax community of Dartmouth this morning.

Police say the 23-year-old man entered a business around 4:15 a.m. bleeding heavily.

They say he was walking on Lakecrest Drive when he was approached by two men who attempted to rob him before stabbing him several times.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Although the investigation is still in the early stages, police say they believe the attack was random.

Police say their only information about the suspects is that they were both black men.
