ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Police in Newfoundland say a 59-year-old woman has died after being pinned between a van and a home in St. John's.
Const. Talia Murphy of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Murphy says the van was in the home's driveway and not being operated by anyone when it started moving towards the residence.
She says the woman was pinned between the home and the van.
The woman was taken to hospital where she later died.
Murphy says it is not known what caused the van to move, but added that the driveway slopes slightly towards the residence.
The woman's name has not been released as officers try to notify her relatives.
